SHELTER ENRICHMENT

Shelter enrichment is a way to provide physical and mental stimulation for dogs and cats, lowering their stress and improving their day-to-day lives before they get adopted.

Training for shelter dogs

Wayward Journey is lucky enough to have two highly skilled dog trainers that volunteer their time at the Grass Valley Shelter. The trainers complete behavioral assessments, conduct play groups, assist with meet-and-greets, and provide the shelter dogs with enrichment, socialization, and training to help them maintain their mental health while in the shelter, and to increase their chances of adoption.

Post-adoption support from Take the Lead

All dogs adopted from the Grass Valley Shelter also receive a FREE private lesson* with Taylor at Take the Lead Canine Coaching at their training center
in Grass Valley ($150 value)!

*Must schedule within 60 days of adoption

Shelter animals LOVE presents!
