There are times when the animals that enter the shelter’s care have medical needs that are above and beyond the shelter’s budget. That’s where Wayward Journey comes in! We always need funds to ensure animals are healthy and happy before finding a forever family.
Meet JOHNNY
Wayward Journey's first medical case!
Johnny came into the Grass Valley Shelter as a stray. We noticed he had very poor dental health, but we didn’t know the extent. Wayward Journey set up and paid for an appointment for Johnny to be seen so that we could understand his needs before adopting him out. A very generous donor came forward and paid for Johnny’s dental cleaning and extractions! Johnny found a wonderful home where he lives with another dog, a cat, and even foster kittens at times!
